The Beginning of Köprülü Canyon

Krafting 22öprü Çay river starts from Sütçüler district of Isparta. Köprülü Kanyon starts in Sütçüler district of Isparta and flows into the sea in Antalya. Köprülü Canyon is located in the south east of Isparta. The river originates from Aksu, the town of Isparta, and the water emerges from Karacahisar Village of Isparta. For about 25 km from Kasımlar to Değirmenözü village of Antalya the canyon consists of narrow valleys  and rocky steeps. Trekking transitions are very difficult especially in the periods when water rises in these parts. In summer there is a unique trekking environment with the decrease in water flow. After Değirmenözü village, the river flows in a completely open area. Then the river enters the narrow valleys again, this second part continues until the Köprülü Canyon Antique Bridge. In this section there are steep valleys, difficult transitions and natural beauties where you can find every shade of green. . This canyon, which is 14 km long and 100 meters wide formed by Köprüçay, is called Köprülü Canyon. The most important feature is that it is the longest canyon of Turkey.
