The bay of Kiris area is considered one of the most beautiful in the Kemer-Antalya region and is ideal for novice divers. Often in these places you can meet whole family of divers - dad, mom and son (daughter) diver, sunbathing on the coastal cliffs, or bathing in the bay.
The easiest way to get to get to the Kiris Aquarium Bay is from the Marina of Kemer, where yachts from all over Europe stop. The journey time on the boat will take about 18-20 minutes. Note: you can get to this dive site only by sea.
The depth of immersion in the Aquarium Bay is within 12 m. The bay is fairly well sheltered from the winds by a reliable barrier of mountains, so there are practically no large waves, the sea is calm, the water is clear and transparent, and the seabed is covered with gravel and sand. Here you can also have a good time, enjoying a beach holiday, admiring the steep mountain cliffs, inhaling the aromas of Mediterranean pine trees, sunbathing on pebble beach under the gentle sun.
Immerse to the waters of Kiris Aquarium Bay and you can see amazing sea fish with black and yellow eyes, get acquainted with local octopuses, watch starfish, lobsters (lobsters), barracudas, stingrays, feed fish from your own hands, swim in the gorges between underwater cliffs. Kiris Aquarium Bay will be comfortable to dive at any depth.
In the bay near the coastal lighthouse, you can also take a closer look at the sea depths of Kemer. Both the beginners and expert diver can dive here. The lighthouse is in 8 minutes of boat trip away from the shore .
The underwater part of the bay consists of several tunnels and caves. The minimum immersion depth near the lighthouse is 3 meters, and the maximum is 18 meters. At a depth of 9 meters there is an underwater tunnel approximately 5 m wide, in which many sea creatures live (sea tulips, colorful coral reefs, moray eels, sea worms, octopuses, sea scorpions, sea hares, sea cucumbers (holothurias). Beauty of the underwater world in the tunnel of the bay near the lighthouse is just amazing!
It takes about 7 minutes to get to this dive point by boat. The ship is scuttled at a depth of 21 - 31 m and lies on the sandy seabed.
The crash occurred in 1917, the ship was flooded during the First World War by troops under the command of Mustafa Ertugrul. In the damaged vessel there are about 10 holes, and now they can be examined by divers.
The length of the sunken Paris is 65 meters, its width is 14 meters. The entire surface of the ship is covered with marine vegetation, because it has been under water for more than hundred years. In the holds live moray, octopus, starfish.
A significant amount of coal (the ship had a steam engine) and combat missiles is still on board, so only internationally certified divers can dive at this point.
The Georgian ship Paty lost control and crashed on the rocks near the coast of Kemer on January 1, 2001. Part of the ship immediately plunged into the water, the other - caught on the coastal cliff and is still “moored” to it. The length of the sunken ship is 15 meters. The ship transported immigrants from Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The sunken part of the ship is at a depth of 5-12 meters, only divers with international certification can dive there.
Three islandsNot far from Tekirova there are small islands, which are a good area for diving. The islands have gained popularity because of the abundance of places to dive, the presence of different depths, rich for the Antalya seabed, clear visibility and proximity of many dive centers. They are located approximately in 45 minutes from the marina of Kemer.
